Full Rules
1. Judges have the final say on the competition. Do not harass the judges for their final decision and do not fight the judges about the competition.
2. You may only enter 1 category for the competition. If you are unsure of what category you belong, please use your best judgment. Judges may move you to a higher level if they believe your craftsmanship matches the level.
3. No nudity, no semblance of nudity, no profanity (both verbal and on signs/clothing), no political statements, and no religious statements. Remember that My Little Pony is a children’s show and if it’s not in the show, it’s not allowed in the competition.
4. Anything you bring on stage must leave the stage with you (IE: No Pinkie Pie Party cannons). No projectiles, and nothing that can be considered an explosive.
5. All prop weapons must follow the BABSCon 2017 Weapons Policy: All weapons must be non-working and peace bonded. No functioning projectile weapons – including water pistols, silly-string guns, and ping-pong pistols. No Bladed weapons, Period. Unless said bladed weapons are faux metal such as tinfoil-covered wood or painted plastic and approved in advance by BABSCon 2017 security. No clowning around or showing off in the common areas. Any weapon used in an offensive manner will be confiscated. Anyone who violates this rule may be disqualified from the competition and may be asked to leave the convention area. We expect you to use good judgment; with your help, we can continue to allow peace-bonded weapons.
6. Be respectful to one another, listen to the staff and volunteers, and follow their requests. Staff is there to help the contest run as smoothly as possible.
And above all else, have fun!
